My new granddaughter, Leilah Nicole, came home from the hospital today. She’s been through quite a traumatic event in the last couple of days with mommy’s body ousting her from her warm and cozy little woom and shoving her out into the world. But she’s dealt with it amazingly well. She’s a calm little baby and seems content with her life so far…all two days of it.
But I can’t imagine what’s going on in her little baby-brain right now. Well, okay, I can imagine it so I thought I’d have some fun with some pictures I took today. I’m imagining what Leilah’s thinking after her first venture out into the world…a venture that took her home for the first time…

Ahhh...here I am back safe in Mommy's arms again. What WAS that thing they strapped me in?!?

Okay, a nice little nap will smooth out the rough edges of the trip home...

Wow! Pretty dancing baby bottles and arms to hold me ALL the time...dreams are great!

Oh. Wait a minute...I'm awake. How'd that happen?

And something is definitely wrong. These are NOT Mommy or Daddy's arms I'm in...

Hey, who are you? Haven't I seen you somewhere before?

Gramma WHO?

Gramma Kat. Okay, if you say so...

Where's that red-headed girl? I heard her call you Gramma Kat. Maybe she can tell me if this a good thing or not.

Hey! What's that?!?

There's a monster with big ears and sharp teeth on the floor! Mommyyyyyyy!!

Koda? What's a Koda? Does it bite? Where's my Daddy?!?!

Never mind. Suddenly, I find I just don't care...

I got my trusty thumb that's always there when I need it...

And this Gramma Kat person has a pretty comfy lap...

Tummy is full, diaper is dry...that calls for a little nap. Now, where was I again with that dream...something about hedge funds and a cure for cancer?
THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Precious little gal! And great captions to the darling photos.
Thanks so much! I had a good time captioning them…it’s always a curiosity to me what is going through the little ones’ minds. Maybe next time I’ll caption it from the DOG’S point of view! LOL.
Very Nice. Thank you. She is adorable!
Thanks, Michelle. I’m not biased or anything but I think so! : )
