Mommy did an awesome job and barely made a noise the whole time you were being born. When mommy was ready to push, Nurse Shannon called the doctor and told mommy to hold on. But she didn’t tell you to hold on and you didn’t. Mommy gave one push and your head came out and the next thing we knew you came slipping out in Nurse Shannon’s hands…Dr. Clark never made it for your birth.
Daddy cut the cord and then was the first one to hold you.
You are a tiny little baby, Leilah Nicole. Welcome to the world, girl!

It’s a great way to journal for the girls, I’ve found. And a great way to chronical an event like this. We may forget in the days to come what Leilah’s “birth day” was like, but we’ll have it down for the record books thanks to blogs. Thanks for the comment, Roberta.
Thanks, Michelle. We’re enjoying the new addition to the family. Kayla helped me change a “poopy diaper” last night at the hospital and, as much as she’d said she was NOT going to do that, she was right in there with the wipes and getting the tabs on the new diaper closed up. You should have seen her carrying it at arms length to the garbage can though. What a hoot!
