One thing I was thinking of though...as Bubby gets a little older, it might be possible to do this via webcam....Let Megan have the mailbox with the understanding that it is the Gramma Mailbox O' Love (LOVE that name!), send her stuff to put in it and then have him open it while you're on the webcam with him. You *should* be proud of yourself. I so envy you for having your grandchildren near you. I would love to steal your idea and create such mailbox for Bubby. (Maybe my two other daughters will have grandbabies sometime in the semi-near future ... and not move away.
